This little fishy is mine

This fishy is mine.  I love it and it makes me proud. I did 3D art in the late 90s, early 00s; I've designed over 300 book covers for online publishers, and even won a few awards; none of it was as gratifying as coloring this image by Johanna Basford. I did it with my own hand, not a mouse click. The color choices were mine at a time when a stroke-addled brain feared my creativity was long gone.

I've only been doing this since August 2015, by the way. Half the time, I have no idea what I'm doing. Most times, I just throw it together and hope it sticks. For this coloring though, I could clearly picture the colors before I started. This really never happens to me and I have a hard time visualizing with no reference.

So, this fishy will eventually be framed ;-)

Lost Ocean - A Whale of a Time

This is my entry to Johanna Basford's Lost Ocean whale colouring competition. There are going to be over 1k entries so I stand no chance of winning but, I'm still very pleased by how this one turned out. I think this whale is frame-worthy :-)

More Lost Ocean colorings

I don't have much to say except that I love this coloring book. I'll have to get another copy since there are quite a few I may cut out and frame.

Lost Ocean by Johanna Basford

My first complete coloring of Lost Ocean. I love this coloring book and the Prismacolor premier pencils work really well with it. Love it!
